The FECCA Conference 2026 acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as Australia’s First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We recognise their enduring role as cultural custodians and holders of knowledge. We recognise their continuing connection to culture, land, water, and community and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.
 
We believe multiculturalism begins with recognising the rights and place in society held by Australia’s First Nations Peoples. We are committed to listening, learning and supporting First Nations Peoples.
